Saw it in NY on Broadway a couple weeks ago. Good music. I wouldn't worry about the politics of it...they are in there
but its fine. We really enjoyed it and like you, I had never heard of it until I went.
But bottom line, it shouldn't matter because your grandson is in it (I assume)
