1. Have your wife work for the airlines...Even part time, I have only had to pay for one ticket to fly to the away games.
2. Book your hotels the day the schedule comes out, they will be significantly cheaper. I am lucky in that I am in the hotel business, but the earlier you book, the better the rates will be.

My situation is a bit different with a son that plays on the team, so my incentive it pretty high to make it to the games, but some of the road trips have been really fun.
