Young set the season PER record at 170 that stood for around 20 yrs...but now
...D1 QBs have exceeded 170 probably around 20-25 times in the last 20-25 yrs.
My point is it's almost pointless to compare the modern college passing game, esp PER, to anything over 20 yrs ago.
