I'm sure there have been some, but I know people who work in all the big companies here (AMD, Intel, NXP, Google, Meta, NVidia, Oracle, Dell, Applied Materials, NI, etc.) and massive layoffs haven't been a topic of discussion with any of them. Meta had some big rounds about 2 years ago, but seem to have stabilized.

Costs have gone up here, but they aren't nearly as high as silicon valley.
