It’s an automatic bid for the 5 conference champs who are ranked highest. Do you
agree? I never said they were automatic for any specific conference — although you could say that they effectively are for conferences whose champion is always in the Top 5.
If you want to use a different word (rather than “autobids”) to refer to these 5 automatic bids, that’s OK by me.
