I "never" hear beautiful music w/o uttering a silent prayer of gratitude for my
mom. My grandma (her mom) was a piano teacher and taught right up until the day she died in her late 70s and my mom was a piano teacher for over 50 years and taught up until dementia robbed her of that ability. Music was everywhere in my home growing up and my mom taught me to appreciate the beauty and power of good music. I have often wondered if I had to choose between losing my eyesight or my ability to hear, which would I choose?

Thanks, Mom. You gave me the best things in life in sharing your love of music: God and yourself.
