Am I correct that he’s a 2023 graduate? Not seeing any mentions, but did he gray
shirt last year? In the program at all last year?

Arod just said they have to decide if they will pull the redshirt on P Haunga

What?! If you need him to win, pull the red shirt!

Can't he play 4 games?

That was my thought. He should be playing regardless while depth is thin. Play 4 games minimum.

So Arod not telling the truth again? I mean I guess we're used to it by now

It's perfectly understandable why he didn't play Sat. Settle down.

I mean, he was in Provo during the game, right?

I'm just saying the explanation sounds a bit fishy

It does?

But he has 4 free games, saying he is pulling his redshirt without having played
Huge Manatee

It’s not fishy. Generally the 4 games would be continuous

If AROD wants a job next year he would pull Haungas Red Shirt asap

He is already risking it at QB

Redshirting should be rare in era of NIL.

I think if I were a college coach, I wouldn't RS very many players very often.

LJ is probably out for a few weeks. They should play him now and keep him under
allaboutthegainz

We SHOULD have sat LJ the first three games, probably.

Why? He didn’t hurt his shoulder

Play him these next 4 games at least. Then decide.

In the new NIL era, play your “best talent” (playmakers) now, just limit their playbook reps to maybe 5-10 plays a game.

The freshman talent that is or they very likely could leave

In the transfer-era Red Shirts are borderline irresponsible.

He's a solid BYU kid, though, right? So long as he's getting the love as a RS, I think it's fine. He's an RM, right?

And he didn’t have that many offers out of HS. I don’t think he’s a transfer

Kid who came outa nowhere in camp — to land himself on the 2-deep. Not a real big guy.

all this just to only see him for 2 carries a game

Love this move. Haunga is an absolute competitor. Reminded me of a shorter Puka

In the era of instant, transfers, I’m surprised we would redshirt anyone
deljdc
Sep 9, 1:58pm
Exactly. This is not even a decision. Play the best player don't redshirt anyone ever.

Close, but absolutely need to RS guys who are at risk due to coming off missions
