likely from that list.
Duke needs a 6th home game for their last game. BYU needs a 6th home game for their last game. So they are not a match.
Miami could do the away, but they already have 2 P4s (Florida and ND). I doubt they will want 11 P4 games in one season.
Pitt could do the away game, but they already have 2 P4s (WV and ND). I doubt they will want 11 p4 games in one season.
SMU needs a 6th home game and already has two P4s. I doubt they will want 11 P4 games in one season.
Northwestern needs two home games for their last two games, so they are not a match.
Rutgers could go on the road, but this would be quite unusual for them to book a series like BYU. They usually play more regional non-conference games. Plus Rutgers is booked for 2026.
USC could go on the road, but they won't want an 11th P4 game (already have ND plus 9 Big 10 games)
LSU has 6 home games, but will want a 7th home game for their last game. That is how the top teams in the SEC roll.
Vandy could go on road, but likely won't want a 10th P4 game. Usually they hover around bowl-eligibility so try not to overschedule in the non-conference.
Stanford is really the only one that makes a lot of sense that both parties would be interested, and even then its confusing about what BYU would do for a return game. Would BYU pay USF to move that 2026 home game to another year and then do home-and-away with Stanford in 25-26? Or would Stanford agree to a home-and-home with the return game @Stanford some years out in the future, when BYU would end up playing 11 P4 teams that season?
