complicate things further and if somebody wants to sleuth it, would also be interesting to see which of these teams also needs a P4 game for 2026 season. And which of these teams would be willing to play 2025 in Provo. Because BYU only has 5 home games for 2025 as of now.
BYU already has at least one P4 opponent lined up for every season from 2027-2032, but none for 2025 and none for 2026. BYU has 3 non-conference opponents already for 2026 (Utah Tech, CSU, USF), but none of them are P4.
Thus, the most logical choice would be a 2025-2026 home-and-away series for one of these teams, and buy out or move the 2026 home USF game to another season.
Stanford needs a P4 game also for 2026.
Based on interest of the other teams on this list, I think only Stanford and LSU would be interested. LSU as part of the trend of SEC teams increasing their non-conference SOS. But I'm still not sure if they would think highly enough of BYU to give them a home-and-away series and to go to Provo first.
Miami makes some sense, and they had an agreement with us before, but I wonder if they would feel getting yanked around if we approached them again (after we signed and then canceled on them).
