I go to road games, try to make it into Provo once per year for a home game, cheer loudly, follow the team, watch the news and coaches show, etc. But I realized how silly it was for me to attach my personal happiness and mood to the outcome of a bunch of 20 year old kids on the field that I have no control over. I also realized that I don't have all of the information or experience that was used by the professionals who get paid to recruit and evaluate players, call plays, manage games, etc. I may have opinions about how things should be done, but I know that the coaches want to win at least as much as I do, and there is a reason why they do things a certain way.
Much better place to be in as a fan. Games are enjoyable to watch, and if/when we lose it's just not a big deal. It doesn't warrant anything more than a "Bummer", and then moving on.
