Outside of one single instance, Baylor still had 5+ seconds to snap the ball.
It did reduce their chances to audible. And it did run an extra 10-15 seconds off the clock.
Those have been the rules for 20 years. If you are trying to sub on offense without the clock stopped when you are down 2 possessions with only 2:00 left on the clock, that’s on you, not on the rules being broken.
