I just went and double checked, it was for sure 4th down with 17 seconds left
and SMU had one timeout left.
BYU could have run the clock down to 1 second before the final kneel but they didn't. As much as Kalani's click management/ time out using antics drive me nuts, SMU's coach may be wise in that area somehow.
