about kids, but if we can get all the arrangements set up, I see a totally different, relaxed wife emerge for a couple of days. She actually takes a nap and watches tv, which she NEVER does when we're home.

This obviously assumes that either kids are old enough to take care of themselves or you can arrange/afford childcare for several days. It was much harder when they were young, but we still made it happen.
