There is no doubt that there will be a portion of the BYU fanbase that would like to see BYU tailor their sports programs for LDS athletes...in fact...that has been a stated consideration in the past.

With that said, we live in a different time with the role of college athletics. It is safe to say that BYU's core values and potential impact on the world is significantly magnified when BYU is able to foster and build elite programs.

As long as non-member players don't actively diminish the core values of the school....there should be no hesitancy in allowing the sports programs to target the best talent available.
