Baylor game a key indicator for Big 12 / BYU fans vs. Utah debate
The premise is that Utah is overrated coming from success in a weaker conference.
Because the big 12 has had more playoff teams the last several years, Utah will struggle week to week in a deeper conference.
Baylor, one of the more prominent brands of the big 12, brings a top 50-ish team to SLC.
This is the bulk of the Utah schedule. Top 30 - 60 teams.
I think what you see in that game will be similar to what Utah experiences with TCU, Iowa State, UCF and other mid-B12 programs.
If Baylor comes in and beats Utah, it’s going to be a long season with similar outcomes.
