6 wins would show vast improvement with this schedule, assuming
our offense isn't often anemic, Defense is usually cohesive and doesn't get overwhelmed, play-calling is dynamic and appropriate for the situation, clock-management, penalties, and special teams miscues don't regularly shoot us in the foot, we aren't sub 100 in any important metrics, are top 25 in several important metrics, losses to good teams are generally close, hard-fought games, in which Kalani showed leadership and holding players accountable.

IMO it's 50/50 that Kalani meets or exceeds these this season, and if he does he should stay. I expect Tom's bar for firing him is even lower than this, unfortunately, unless there's a Football Kevin Young out there chomping at the bit to coach BYU to greatness. I expect it will be Kalani for the next few seasons.
