They told us the next big thing would be cameras on cell phones. We literally laughed, thinking of how stupid and useless a camera would be on a cell phone. They assured us that we were wrong because they were already testing it with the most important electronics demographic in the world: 15-year-old girls in Japan. Japanese teenager girls were apparently the ideal test case for new devices and if you could get the price point down to where the typical Japanese 15-year-old's allowance would cover the cost (which they had), it would be a huge hit. I learned to listen to the Japanese suppliers as I saw that one play out.
