My FIL is a part time cattle rancher/full time police officer (retired)
who still doesn't believe in credit cards/debit cards/and a bank is only a place that holds your salary until you withdraw it.

He always carries cash and pays for everything with the wad in his back pocket. He worked graveyard and bought soda and snacks to stay awake all shift. After he came home he'd put the change (including the 1s and 5s from the change and the coins). For 15 years he'd pay for Christmas (7 kids and a wife) out of that plastic water jug in his closet. The first year I was married I took the change to the bank and exchanged it for money....$1100 in change. He also had nearly $1k in bills. If this guy had used acorn during those years, he'd have a nice little ETF account.
