a sinking ship. So what we see in game 1 is as good as it gets. It's funny to me every year that we struggle early you see all these talkers go on about how they are just working out the kinks and need time to learn the playbook, or whatever. And then we proceed to crap the bed the rest of the year.
I'm not buying it any more. I've been around long enough now. The first game sets the tone for the season, charts the path. That may not be the case for other schools that have better coaches and resilient athletes, but that doesn't apply here. We have no choice but to start fast, because the rest of the season everyone else also catches up to us. We don't catch up to anyone else. Attrition takes its toll on us, where other schools discover diamonds in the rough in their second and third string dudes.
