You're going to want more space than you would think behind the end lines.

We converted a concrete slab into a pickleball court (laying SportCourt tiles on top with the lines), and I'm surprised at how much space I feel like we need behind the end lines. I guess a lot depends upon what you have behind the ends of the slab. I can measure ours if you are interested in really looking into it.
