As someone on the receiving end, perhaps it is because no fewer than 60 cold-
call emails hit my inbox every day, and no fewer than 25 calls hit my cell phone (not my desk phone... which I never answer/use) but my personal cell phone. If I were to even read each email and pass it on the the likely person on my team who should be considering the pitch, or answer every call to be polite, I would lose 2-4 hours a day. I don't have that much available time to listen to well-meaning sales pitches about products or services that will 'change the trajectory' of my business. What is sad is there are likely one or two that would be worth my time to consider, but because of the literal onslaught of the numbers, I don't pay attention to any of them.
