I have done this same thing.
Mine was pulled muscle in my low right side. Tough to walk and pretty painful. Stick to walking, ice it regularly. Then slowly start to stretch but nothing that would aggravate it again. Seemed like the more I sat the more it would hurt. Moving around seemed to help it. I eventually went to a chiro and that helped it. Backs are weird, what works for one may not for you. Try them all and see. Good luck
