Japan Coug Intervention Needed
TBH, he was one of my favorite players on the BYU team when I was a kid, so I
don't hate him as much as many here do. I remember seeing his parents' house in Provo when the Whittingham boys were on the team, and they had a huge BYU flag waving in the yard. I remember him making big plays for BYU, being tough and smart as player, and cheering wildly for him.

I believe that deep down inside he still has positive feelings toward his alma mater and the team that he fought and sweated and bled for, and which brought him glory as a player and got him started on a successful coaching career. Decades of uteness may have taken the boy out of BYU, but I suspect that they haven't been able to entirely take BYU out of the boy.
