It’s been a weird storm. The worst of it has actually been 15-30 miles east of
Eyewall not actually around the eyewall. The eye went right over Sugarland, Katy, and Cypress, but it was downtown and east Houston that were getting the worst of the winds.
Rain has been completely manageable, it’s mostly wind and downed trees causing power outages that are a concern (we have a fence and a couple big branches down), but fortunately haven’t lost power.
I wouldn’t be surprised if at the end of the day the crazy storm a few weeks ago ends up being worse than this one. That one took down multiple transformer lines and had people out of power for over a week.
