im kidding, I'm not a runner... but bikers will complain of feet swell during bike rides over an hour

Try compression sleeves. Or just get some compression socks, cut out the feet and wear them on your arms.

Is it a centrifugal force thing? Swinging extremities tends to pull blood outward more than gravity usually does alone?
