probably a battle between: Latu, Toomalatai, Singh, Mangleson, Tuala, Taumoepeau and maybe Stone Malitalo.

There really isn’t a natural NT type that can soak up blocks and plug the middle. Saili would have filled that role and probably would have started with Nelson.

There also isn’t a ton of experience.

The only players with FBS level snaps at DT beside Nelson are Latu (175) and Singh (47).

Mangelson has experience but as a DE 5/4 tech. He’ll be playing small at DT.

No other players in the mix have snaps beyond JC. I hope some of them are ready to step up at the P4 level right away or at least by the Kansas State game.
