beliefs, while thumbing their noses at any school that didn’t meet their definition of a “research” school. The discrimination went on for decades even though they knew BYU would have made the conference stronger.
I’ll never forget the nerdy Stanford band and their disrespectful polygamy skit at halftime of our game at their stadium, their smug and cocky little faces smiling widely as if they were just the most clever people on the planet.
Then Oregon and their “F the Mormons chant” loudly echoing throughout their stadium in Eugene. And last but not least, Utah and how smug and noveau riche they acted when they got the call up, pretending to be so superior to BYU and looking for every opportunity to hurt our program by cancelling games, talking trash on the recruiting trail, trying to diminish us at every opportunity, and on and on and on.
I will not a shed a single tear at the death of the PAC 12 as a power conference. The schadenfreude is, indeed, sweet.
