Going back to 1990 World Cup Quailfier we've had 6 world cup wins. 3 before 2002
and 3 since then. In the last 22 years we have 3 WC wins. So in the tournament that matters we were as good in the 90's and early 2000's as we are now. In fact 2002 was the peak. When we made it to the quarterfinals with 2 wins in South Korea/Japan.
