is for the Jazz to make the conscious decision at the beginning of the year to tank. Which means they will need to unload the veteran players who don't want to waste another year of losing games and not making the playoffs. Walker and Laurie will have to go. There has been talk of trading Collins anyway. The Jazz might be able to stockpile additional FRP's.
No more dumping the team and then winning with a bunch of new guys and not deciding to tank until late in the season. That's just so dumb.
The fans will be pretty unhappy. But the trade-off is that lose a lot of games and maybe draft a franchise player. Or two.
Maybe Ainge has that in mind. Build from the ground up. They've already traded away plenty of good players trying to improve in the draft. So do it one more year. Trade everyone who wants to leave for a better team and pick up more FRP's and higher spots in 2025 draft.
