Chrome syncs up across all platforms so using Chrome carries bookmarks passwords etc. Safari is just a poor browser

You can also setup syncing between Chrome (desktop) and Safari (iPhone)

I dono about mobile, but if you're heavy google user on Mac, safari doesn't function as well.
