That's part of his schtick. Utah fans accuse him of being a BYU fan, so he goes off "of COURSE I'm a BYU fan. BYU is the best. I love BYU and always root for them". Then a BYU fan calls him a Utah fan, and heads in that direction, "of COURSE I'm a Utah fan. Utah is the best. I love Utah and always root for them".

The reality is that he's an ASU fan first - he's made no bones about that. ASU grad and ASU fan.

When he isn't trolling, he'll also admit that he likes the coaches at both BYU and Utah and is friends with both. And he'd like to see the coaches at both be successful - when they aren't playing ASU.
