So sad. Similar to the story of one of my best friends.
He was 45 and extremely active and very healthy, or so it seemed. He started having pain in his abdomen and after a few tests they found cancer in his lungs. As they ran more tests the determined that the cancer started in his colon, but had spread to his liver, lungs and brain. He died 3 months later. His youngest had just received his mission call. One of the best guys I've ever known. A colonoscopy 1-2 years earlier would have saved his life, but nobody was recommending that for somebody in their early 40s.
