on those factors right now.
Maybe in 5 years an inside analysis can get a better idea of how they comparatively rate. (And by that pt, things very well may have changed from where they are today.)
Imo, though, the BOT/Admin influence of Pres. Reese (& his superiors) — even though they got the ball rolling by unleashing the restrictions put on financiers like Smith — BECAUSE it's the financiers' wealth that is making it all possible, I think it is they who deserve credit as the prime impetus & influence.
And of course their power as financiers would be moot at BYU if the system hadn't allowed NIL funding to be a heavy factor in recruiting.
As an ever-active influencers in salesmanship end of the recruiting, I'd put our staff somewhere between the financiers & the BOT/Admin. Where KY himself ranks at this point among his staff — is gonna always be unclear with any given recruit. He's clearly a big factor in anything his staff as a whole is accomplishing, though. I do think that the importance of specific staff connections to current committed recruits was obviously a big factor, though. Keita's signing being obviously influenced heavily by coach Burgess, Mag & Crawford by coach Dunson, & Catchings by coach Fanning. And KY's brother Justin seems to have been huge in identifying Dunson, Fanning AND Linehan as top-rate assistant hires (w connections too, obviously). How much credit does KY get for his brother's influence? Obviously a LOT. (Payroll that man! (I'm sure it's been done somehow already))
