I think Crawford will play
I expect Crawford to back up Hall. Demin is a one and done but I think Crawford is expected to be a multi-year contributor. Ergo, I think Demin sees all his minutes at the 2 or 3 and Crawford will back up Hall and play when Hall sits. BYU wants Crawford to be a developmental guy who is really good by the time he is a JR and playing 10-15mpg as a true FR is an important part of that development. Playing him as a PG and Demin as a wing primarily allows both Demin and Crawford to focus on only one position as true freshman and not ask them to play multiple positions-that simplifies the game for them IMO. In the future I think Crawford can play alongside Hall as a 2 but my instinct is this year he only plays the 1 as Hall's back up.

Saunders, Fouss, Keita, Mag and Baker will all play and likely about 18-22 mpg each.

That leaves Knell and Catchings. My instinct is how much Knell plays is likely up to whether or not BYU needs his shooting. If Hall, Baker, Catchings and Crawford can all shoot well enough then my guess is Knell plays less and less. I expect Trevin to start to begin the season but his time will likely be influenced if others can shoot well enough that their ability to do everything else much better than Trevin will result in less PT for Trevin. I don't see Knell playing anything more than 20 mpg but I could see him losing minutes if the others can fill that niche.

Catchings will likely be given every opportunity to shine much like Demin-what he does with his chances will dictate how much he plays.

When the dust settles I think Hall plays the most minutes at about 26-28 mpg. I could see Demin and Catchings getting 24-26 mpg and I think the rest will max out at 20-22 mpg.

I don't expect Stewart, Nixon or whomever lucky scholarship #13 is to be part of the rotation once the conference season starts.
