Why would any Conference want Cal as a member? Their own athletic department and students won’t even attend their games. They travel like a wet blanket. The only way to get Cal students and alumni to games is tell them ahead of time that for every game they attend, they’ll get a free pass to the Shroom Yurt at next year’s Burning Man
