I own a storage facility and I run at 95% + occupancy due to these corporate strategies. I have close to 400 refugees from these corporate facilities and I hear this complaint on the phone daily.

They bank on you not burning another Saturday and the goodwill of friends and trucks to move out. They hope the charge is buried on page 3 of your credit card statement and you don’t notice. Couple with mandatory “insurance” it’s a blatant money grab.

I often have a waiting list due to these maddening policies.
