If you're referring to the fake (seriously) stuff that comes in a can, like
Craft, then you are 100% correct. That stuff is awful. The real stuff, is great on Pasta. BTW, there's a lot of US-based parmasean cheese out there that is not high quality; you have to be willing to pay for the good stuff.
By the way, that canned stuff is not even cheese; seriously, it may have some cheese particles in it, but it's not cheese.

Not a vegan. I hate cheese. Parmesan smells exactly like human vomit to me. I honestly can't tell the difference.
