If there's a crack or a vac leak a good MAF will give bad data because
what it is measuring does not accurately reflect what is getting to the engine. The ECU meters fuel and spark based on the MAF data, assuming the MAF data is correct. I'd try connecting everything back up and double checking all your connections. It's also possible (but unlikely) that you have some vac lines crossed. Look first for anything that didn't get reconnected properly. Check all the electrical connections as well. It's usually something dumb. Especially if the intake hose is intact.
