They both made me think about how I want to help my kids, but I tend to side with the reasoning put forward in "Millionaire."

It's an older book, and it can be a little dry, but there's a lot of research packed into its pages that shows that you're essentially crippling your kids if you give them too much, or if you give them the wrong kinds of gifts. Very, very interesting that people of similar educational/social backgrounds perform differently when the variable of gifts from parents come into play.
