Anyone who flies much or has any need to keep a schedule selects no layovers.

Even flying to Japan we only had one layover. I would never do 2 layovers.

Probably option 1, option 2 makes it easier to take an Uber to/from the airport

Both airports are very easy to use. Airport in Option 1 is a little bigger, but these aren't your JFKs, ORDs, LAXs, ATLs
