Honestly - if a player is drafted I think the team has an interest in helping them make it and be successful. I suspect that all things being equal, a team is going to put more resources into and is more likely to keep a player they drafted than a player that was an undrafted free agent. Mind you - I'm saying all things being equal, meaning that they like both players the same.
Maybe not - no idea.
I do suspect that David Locke has a better grasp on all of this than your average fan. So if he says it benefits a player to go as soon as they know they will be drafted (I think the exception he gives is if they think they can be a lottery pick by waiting a year) - then I suspect it's worth at least considering that position.
If it were just about making money, then I think NIL has given the conversation a huge shakeup. But he was talking about getting the best coaching and improving skills.
