I'm with you all the way - frankly, I'm losing interest. It's just so fleeting,
that it seems like my time is better spent elsewhere, than engaging with a revolving door. What are we cheering for anymore?

Of course, no one can blame players for doing what seems best for their particular circumstances in this ridiculous / stupid system we now have, but when there's no commitment or loyalty to a community and a fan base, is there really even a "fan base" anymore? Are we just cheering for a uniforms and colors, not what they represent? Do we cheer for the players who show loyalty, but not so much other players on the same team who are part of the revolving door. Or, do we devotedly cheer for the players, and really get invested in their success and realization of their dreams and hard work, to then just to later feel somewhat "betrayed" when the person you were devoted to see succeed, just up and leaves for perceived greener pastures? That is not a great formula for healthy relationships.

It's becoming like pro sports - he who has the most money, purchases enough of the right players to win a championship, and then they move on, but with the renewed ability to market their jerseys and merchandise better for a period of time until the next round.
Perhaps that's the only thing that changes it, for the fans to just stop watching, stop engaging, stop buying merch, and for the money to dry up, remembering that it's just a stupid game! No one should be paid as much as many of these athletes are being paid for playing a flippin' game, when we have teachers, nurses, and scientists, not to mention just hard working blue collar folks just scraping trying to make ends meet. It's like an upside down world we're living in.
