I think the NBA was a long shot for him, regardless of his path. He's a quick & explosive athlete, but his ball skillz & shooting don't strike me as NBA-in-the-making for a guy who needs to make it as a PG. And his size, height & length clearly aren't great for an NBA PG, even.

But he DID seem to have the work ethic & drive that'd give him a chance. The fact he was a decent shooter was the result of very hard work, so far as I could see. His form does NOT suggest a natural shooter.
