He's not looking to build his resume so he can get a better NBA job - he was about to be hired as a head coach in the NBA. All he had to do is say "yes" and he would have been an NBA head coach. If that was his goal he never would have left the NBA. And if he didn't take the Nets job, he was still in the running for other head coaching spots. So it makes no sense that he'd be looking to bail on BYU to head back to the NBA as soon as he has success here. I can see him returning to the NBA someday when his kids are older and the NBA life isn't such a drag on the family, but his kids are still pretty young.
