Meh… You just reiterated my argument.
The question is, show me another lower tier p5 that has 3 straight against their blue blood program.

You can’t.

But you go back to 2011. And even if you did, you still can’t find one.

Utah had won three straight in the last two years. First two when USC was #4 and one win away from the playoffs.

At the time, USC was ranked ahead of both Alabama and Ohio State.

Ironically, both schools rooting for Utah to disrupt USC so they could get into the playoffs.

Both have had several playoff experiences as you mentioned, but when have they ever lost the playoff opportunity to a lower tier program?

Utah had done that For the second consecutive year blocking quasi-blue blood #3 Oregon From getting to the playoffs.

Oregon, was also ranked ahead of Ohio State because they had beaten them in Columbus. Which I find interesting because it seems that not a single lower or mid tier BiG Done that since your 2011 time frame.

Last year, Utah with a backup quarterback still was able to beat a top 15 USC with the number one draft pick.

Ohio State and Alabama were ranked higher than USC, But that seems to be the case for only one of the three victories. NBD.
