flop. Crowton keeps the commitment from Haloti Ngata (which I believe was reasonably possible) and has Beck farther along instead of as green as he was and a few other pieces fall in place and I think he could have continued to be a hero. I could be wrong. He's career had ups and downs, but a downward trend overall after us so maybe there was much more than bad luck. But I do think a few more things fall in place for him that easily could have and we'd view him a lot differently.
I think some huge success stories in business think it's all skill where they had a lot of luck mixed in with their skill. Some big failures we think have no skill and their timing was just off or branding only a little off. Heck MyFamily.com brands themselves a little different and they could have been Facebook. WordPerfect gets their stuff into machines at the manufacturer level and they don't get outflanked by Microsoft. Those were mistakes to be sure that were their own fault, but the margin between massive success and failure I just think is sometimes much smaller than we realize.
