lost from the current season. We are not replacing SJ's great shooting from 2 seasons ago, we are replacing what he shot this current season which unfortunately was disappointing.
SJ had his 4 D1 seasons plus his junior college season. Calling this recent one a wash, Baker still has 2 left and has played 3 seasons. Baker's peak season was better than any of SJ's seasons, albeit playing at a lower level conference. But SJ was only one season in the Big 12 - his other seasons were also not in an elite conference.
It will be intriguing to see what Baker can do at a Big 12 level and if he recovers full health. SJ was a quality player for us, and had great durability as a bonus. When evaluating players, health and availability is certainly something to factor in it. I don't ever remember SJ being out for injury for us.
