Baker existed when comparing last year with next year. Just think if it as minutes played. The mix of how players are used may vary, but, Baker will contribute minutes of comparable value to SJ if he is healthy even if his role is entirely different.

We need 200 quality minutes in every game. SJ, Khalifa, Jax, and to an extent, Atiki filled those minutes. Baker only played a few minutes in 2 or 3 games and was done. If healthy, he will replace 15-20 minutes or more previously covered by departing players.

If healthy, Fous will play a lot more minutes, if needed. That will replace much of the Khalifa minutes list even though they are night and day different.

If Coach Young gets Jax back - this roster would already be on par or better than last season before factoring in Davis and Koz and whatever else the portal brings.
