Our roster ended up being better than expected, but I hear you. I would actually have been happier with an

8th place finish in conference and 2 NCAA tourney wins. We would still have overachieved, but finished the season on a much more hopeful note. Pope had our guys extremely unprepared, both mentally and physically going into the first round. That is not the indication of a great coach.

Heck Pope may have been distracted seeing possible openings coming up at BOTH Washington AND UK. He clearly saw those programs much more desirable to BYU
