I see people talking about importance of the song to the story or musical complexity, none of that matters at all to me.

I want the song to stir something in me (almost always that means more upbeat, fun songs or call to action songs trump the sad emotion ones).

And I want to be able to sing the song after the movie is over, this usually means the complex ones or ones in Spanish, etc. are out.
